(Grand Rapids, Mich.) The Golden Eagles hosted Davenport and lost 0-10 and 3-12 this afternoon. Cornerstone managed only 4 hits in Game 1 against the Panthers. Elayna Citko went 2 for 3 on the day. Jessica Kuhlman and Mandee Michielsen had a hit each for the Golden Eagles.

The Golden Eagles scored 3 runs in Game 2 on 3 hits. Mandee Michielsen went 2 for 2 with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored to lead the Golden Eagles attack. Davenport peppered Cornerstone's pitching for 15 hits and 12 runs to defeat the Golden Eagles 12-3 in the second game of the double header.

Cornerstone stays one game ahead of Siena Heights as they were swept by Madonna yesterday as well. Siena Height only has 2 games left against Davenport and has to sweep them to have a chance to get into the last playoff spot. Cornerstone can clinch with 1 win in their remaining four games. They play two games at Madonna and two games at UM-Dearborn to finish out the season.
