The Men's Basketball Team recently added to their roster their first out of state recruit with the signing of Michael Bradshaw from Crystal Lake, IL.  Bradshaw, who prepped at 4-A Prairie Ridge High School, averaged 16 PPG this past season.  The 6-3 combo guard earned 1st Team Fox Valley All-Conference honors both his junior and senior years.

Bradshaw is Prairie Ridge's all-time career 3-pointer leader with 139.  He was crowned the Regional 3-point shooting champion in 2012 and 2014.  Bradshaw drained 53 treys as a senior. The 4-year varsity starter was named to the Northwest Herald 1st Team this past season and was a participant in the McHenry All-Star game on April 13 where scored eight points. Bradshaw also averaged four rebounds, three assists and two steals/game for the Wolves during 2013-14 campaign.  He made 43% of his shots beyond the arc and shot 79% from the line.

Bradshaw finished his career with 985 points.  He scored a career-high 38 point vs. Mundelein Carmel HS on November 26, 2012.  Bradshaw was named the Crystal Lake Service Award winner in 2014, an honor which is awarded to a high school student for exemplary service to youth and academic achievement.

Coach Elders on Michael:  "Michael is a great fit for our university and our basketball program.  He's a young man who has his priorities in order.  As a basketball player, Michael has very good size as a guard at our level.  He has a very good basketball IQ and is an excellent perimeter shooter.  Michael is a team player and has a very good work-ethic.  He will have a successful career here at Cornerstone."

Michael on why he chose Cornerstone:  "Cornerstone has a beautiful campus and awesome facilities, but I chose Cornerstone because it's a place where I can grow in all areas of my life.  It's a campus where Jesus Christ is the center and I want to be at a college where I can grow in my relationship with Christ.  Cornerstone is an awesome place for me to grow as a student, basketball player and most importantly, as a follower of Jesus Christ.  Cornerstone is a perfect fit for me and I can't wait to see what God has planned for me during the next four years."

Bradshaw is the son of Greg and Kris Bradshaw.  He will major in Physical Education at Cornerstone.
