(Grand Rapids, Mich.)  The Golden Eagles had to switch their home game to Davenport to play Davenport because the field was too wet from the last couple days of wet and cold.  The Golden Eagles jumped out to an early lead in game one.  Lauren Pasciak and Megan Oberst both drew walks to put runners on first and second base.  Ashley Niedermayer hit a line shot over the left fielder's head to knock both runners in to give Cornerstone a 2-0 lead.   The game remained 2-0 through the fourth inning.  Davenport got one back in the top of the fifth inning courtesy of a couple of errors and a wild pitch to make it 2-1.  Megan Oberst gave Cornerstone a little breathing room in the bottom of the sixth with a solo shot over the center field fence.   The Panthers would get their first runner on base on an error but Walburg got the next batter to ground out and the next two to pop out to seal the victory for the Golden Eagles.  Cornerstone improved to 15-10 overall and 7-4 in the WHAC Walburg improved to 9-4 from the circle.

Cornerstone didn't fare as well in game two.  The Panthers scored five runs in the top of the first inning to take a commanding lead.  The Golden Eagles got one back in the bottom of the first.  Lauren Pasciak and Heidi Walburg both hit singles and Megan Oberst walked to load the bases.  Ashley Niedermayer hit a SAC Fly to the right fielder to bring Pasciak across the plate to make it 5-1.  The Panthers got another in the top of the fourth inning and then they exploded for 7 runs in the top of the sixth.  Cornerstone did not score in the bottom half of the game and the game was ended after six innings with a 13-1 lost for the Golden Eagles.   Rachel Nelson dropped to 5-6 with the loss and Cornerstone dropped to 15-11 overall and 7-5 in WHAC play.

Cornerstone will hit the road to play Indiana Tech on Saturday for a 1:00 start.
