Amber Carmean is a 5'5" Libero from Fruitport, Michigan. She attended Fruitport High School and graduated in 2012. After Fruitport, Amber decided to continue her volleyball career at Muskegon Community College where she was a team captain.
While at Fruitport, she contributed to the Trojans back-to-back State Championships in 2010 and 2011. She was also named 2nd Team All-State as a senior. Academically, Amber maintained a 4.0 GPA, was the Vice President of National Honors Society, received all-A Honor Roll every year, and also received All-Conference Honors in both softball and basketball.
After Fruitport, Amber completed her freshman and sophomore years at Muskegon Community College where she broke every defensive record and was named 1st Team All-Conference. She helped her team to a State Runner Up award and Regional Runner Up award. Amber was on the President's list and the Dean's List at MCC.
Amber has a very large and supportive family. Her parents Bryan and Laura have five kids: Heather (24), Cody (22), Amber, Jason (16) and Kailey (12). They attend Kainay Community Church in Muskegon. Amber is very excited to attend Cornerstone because she loves the atmosphere and loves the idea of attending a Christian School where she can strengthen her Christian values and also make wonderful relationships with her Christian teammates. In her free time, Amber enjoys coaching both her club team at Inside Out Volleyball and also her 7th grade team at Fruitport Middle School. She also enjoys being outside, spending time with her family, and watching her younger siblings compete in sports just like she did.
