Alicia TerHaar led Cornerstone University to a 5-1 week en route to being named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week.
The junior from Caledonia, Mich. averaged 3.32 kills and 2.2 digs during the six-match stretch. She also had seven serving aces and 17 blocks. Cornerstone posted a 3-1 victory over Davenport University and 3-0 victories over Viterbo University (Wis.), Cardinal Stritch University (Wis.), MidAmerica Nazarene University (Kan.) and Ashford University (Iowa). The lone loss came at the hands of Aquinas College, 0-3.
As a middle hitter, TerHaar currently ranks 30th in the nation for total kills with 308 and in the top 50 for total blocks with 87. She is averaging 3.02 kills and 1.42 digs per game. She recorded 11 digs in two of the matches and had double-digit kills in three others.
Cornerstone improved to 16-13 overall and will face conference-leader Indiana Institute of Technology on Oct. 13.
