Lawrence Tech came into the game with nothing to play for but pride. The Blue Devils had already been eliminated from contention to get into the WHAC tournament. They didn't look like they were just going to go through the motions. They came out and played the Golden Eagles very tough in the first half of play. The first 13 minutes of play featured 6 ties and 6 lead changes with neither team having more than a 4 point lead. The Blue Devils reclaimed the lead (29-28) with 3:21 left in the half but the Golden Eagles made a 6-0 run to end the half up 34-29. It didn't take the Golden Eagles to open up that lead in the 2nd half. Ben Lanning scored 8 points in a four minute span and the Golden Eagles opened up a 16 point (47-31) lead with 15:52 on the clock. Cornerstone pushed it into the 20's (55-34) with 12:48 left and they kept lead over 20 points for the remainder of the game. Their biggest lead (70-42) came with 8:26 left in the game and it looked like they might increase it from there but they missed some open looks and LTU played tough down the stretch and ended with a 79-54 score line at the end. Wes Hudson scored 24 to lead all scorers in the game. Ben Lanning and Ty Mason added 16 and 14 respectively.
