Cornerstone travelled down to Sylvannia, Ohio today to take on Lourdes University and they had a tough game with the Gray Wolves but would prevail 59-49. The two teams battled back and forth through most of the first half without a lot of scoring from either side. The two teams were tied at 2, 7, 9, and 13 each. Lourdes took a 1 point lead (14-13) with 5:09 left in the half. Cornerstone would reclaim the lead (15-14) at 4:54 and they would keep a slim lead through the remainder of the half and would go into the locker-room up 25-24 after Katelyn Cousins drained a 3-pointer towards the end of the period. The Golden Eagles came out and increased their lead to 34-24 in the first 3 ½ minutes of the second half. Cornerstone would increase their lead to as much as 15 (51-36) with 4:33 left in the game but would settle for a 10 point (59-49) victory over the Gray Wolves. Katelyn Cousins would lead the Golden Eagles with 19 points on the day. Ashley Niedermayer 8 points and 10 rebounds (7 of which were Offensive Rebounds).

Cornerstone made just 1 of 12 from long range compared to Lourdes 5 of 11 from behind the line. The Golden Eagles more than made up for poor percentage from distance at the foul line making 18-20 (81.8%) while Lourdes made only 5 of their 11 shots from the charity stripe. Cornerstone also won the battle of the boards 44-27.
