Cornerstone hit the road on this cold snowy day to play UM-Dearborn at Henry Ford Community College. The Golden Eagles opened up an 8-0 lead over the first 2:30 minutes of play. Katelyn Cousins scored 7 straight points in a minute period to push the Cornerstone lead to 21-11 with 11:07 left in the half. The Wolverines cut the lead to as low as 7 points (27-20) with 1:46 left in the half but the Golden Eagles responded to finish the half with a 31-20 lead at the half. Cornerstone would come out in the second half and gradually increased the lead through the first seven minutes of the second half. Emma Lockhart's two point basket at 12:22 gave Cornerstone a 45-24 lead and they ran the lead to as high as 30 points (62-32) with 4:32 left in the game. Cornerstone would go on to defeat UM-Dearborn 65-41 to improve to 5-2 in the WHAC and 8-4 overall

The Golden Eagles dominated the Wolverines on the boards grabbing 29 more rebounds for a 57-28 advantage. Cornerstone also outscored UM-Dearborn 32-14 in the paint. Katelyn Cousins and Alyssa Van Ham led the Golden Eagles with 15 and 10 points respectively.
Cornerstone will host Crossroads League member Spring Arbor on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in their next game and then will travel to Bethel (IN) on the 20th before taking some time off around Christmas.
