The Golden Eagles played #2 Indiana Wesleyan in the first game of the WHAC / CL Challenge today. Cornerstone took an early lead on Indiana Wesleyan and they kept that lead for most of the first half although they never had more than a 8 point lead (32-24) which came with 3:11 on the clock but the Wildcats made a 13-4 run to finish the half and went into the locker room with a 37-36 advantage. The two teams went back and forth in the first 10 minutes of the second half. The Wildcats tied the score at 51-51 with 10:33 left in the half and then took the lead for good on a 3-pointer at 9:39 and they would keep the lead for the rest of the game. The Wildcats made 27 of 37 shots from the line in the second half and finished the game with a 83-74 win over the Golden Eagles.
