GAME FLOW

The Tigers started the game well and led for most of the first10 minutes of play.  Cornerstone took a 27-26 lead on a Ty Mason bucket with 9:45 left in the half. The Golden Eagles would extend the lead out to 39-29 with 3:02 remaining but the Tigers would make a 10-5 run to end the half and would go into the locker room down just 44-39 at the intermission.  Cornerstone would come out hot in the 2nd half with a 10-0 run to increase the lead to 15 points but the Tigers would respond and they cut the lead to just 2 points (67-65) just about half way through the 2nd period.  Grace Bible went cold after that and the Golden Eagles outscored the Tigers 33-9 over the last 9:35 of the game to finish with a 100-74 win to improve to 1-0 on the season.  The win marked Kim Elders 500th win of his career.  Coach Elders begins his 21st season at the helm of the Cornerstone basketball and has averaged 25 wins a season over that period of time.  Coach Elders is currently the 7th winningest coach in the NAIA amongst active coaches.  Congratulations Coach Elders.
