Cornerstone hit the road for their first away WHAC contest today and they found it very hard to penetrate the Cardinal defense. The Golden Eagles had the ball most of the first half of play and out shot Concordia 10-2.  Cornerstone had 3 or 4 quality opportunities in the first half of play but Stephanie Finilla came up big with a couple of huge saves to keep the Golden Eagles off the board.  Cornerstone kept the ball almost all of the second half of play but they didn't create as many good chances on just six shots.  Both teams had one shot in the first overtime period and the Cardinals had their best chance of the game on a corner kick in the period but they vollied the ball over the net.  Neither team created great chances in the second overtime and they ended the game in a 0-0 tie.  Cornerstone outshot Concordia 17-3 on the day.  Cornerstone is now 6-3-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the WHAC.  The Golden Eagles will return hom on Wednesday when they will take on Lawrence Tech at 4:00 p.m. Allison Snowden picked up her third shutout of the year and improved to 3-1.
