The Golden Eagles started well against Rochester scoring just 3:14 into the game to give CU a 1-0 lead.  Josie Litty took a pass from Kerri Hoffman and dribbled in towards the goal and hit a low shot that beat the Warriors GK to the far post.  Cornerstone continued to press the Warriors through the first half but took a while to score the second goal.  The goal finally came at 36:25 when Lexie Brisson-Fast beat her defender to the end line and drove a ball across the face of the goal where Kristen Dykstra one touched the ball into the goal to give Cornerstone a 2-0 lead and that is how the half ended.  The Golden Eagles had numerous opportunities and corner kicks in the second half but they didn't get another into the goal until very late in the half.  Kristen Dykstra won a ball off of the backs and slotted a ball to the far post for her second goal of the game.  Cornerstone outshot Rochester 22-1 for the game.  The Golden Eagles go over .500 for the first time this season with the win.  Cornerstone will open up WHAC play against University of Northwestern Ohio on Saturday at 2:30.  They will honor the seniors on Saturday so come out and support the Golden Eagles.
