The Golden Eagles got a great start tonight down at Spring Arbor.  Cornerstone got an early goal from defender Mark Rougas to go up 1-0 on the Saints just 13:09 into the first half.  Rougas let loose with a dipping left footed shot that caught GK Miles Keller flat footed as the ball carried over his head and into the back of the net. The teams played pretty evenly for most of the first half.  Spring Arbor outshot Cornerstone 6-5 in the frist half of play.  Cornertone came out in the second half and started to put their imprint on the game.  Richard Moylan took a pass over the top fo the Saints defense and scored the second goal in the game in the 66th minute of play.  Cornerstone's defense held tight throught the second half and they posted a 2-0 shutout of Spring Arbor.  Freshman goalkeeper Miguel Cervantes tallied 6 saves on the evening and recoded his second shut out of the season.  .Cornerstone improves to 4-2 on the season.  The Golden Eagles will have the weekend off and will return to action on September 18th at St. Xavier.
