Men's Golf - Tue, Apr. 20, 2010

(Kendallville, Ind.) Competing in their last tournament of the year, the men's golf team finished strong edging out #12 Indiana Wesleyan by 2 strokes to win the University of Saint Francis Invitational at Cobblestone GC near Fort Wayne. The Golden Eagles shot 299-286 for a team total of 587. Indiana Wesleyan shot 297-290 for a 36 hole total of 587.

Ben Vanbiesbrouck finished as the medalist shooting a 2 under (72-70=142) to edge Joseph Madda of Indiana Wesleyan by one stroke (73-70). Ryan Zwier finished his career fourth overall scoring 74-71=145. Josh Mick tied for 5th (74-73=147) competing as an individual and Chet Vandenberg shot a 148 (76-72) to finish tied for 7th. Marcus Brussee tied for 11th with a 151 (77-74) and Alex Lanning tied for 30th with a 157(84-73). The Golden Eagles finish 1st of 9 in the event and wraps up their 2009-2010 season.
