Cornerstone University and head baseball coach Dave Mitroff are pleased to announce the signing of Danny Lawless, a right-handed pitcher and corner infielder from Holland High School in Holland, Mich. Lawless achieved much of his success on the mound including pitching a no-hitter against Wyoming Rogers his junior year.
When asked about his decision to attend Cornerstone University, Lawless said, "I chose Cornerstone because of the foundation of the University. It is a place where everything that goes on, revolves around Christ. And that is a place that I would like to be a part of as I enter this upcoming chapter of my life. The fact that I have the opportunity to play baseball as well is simply a bonus, and a blessing. The coaching staff has made me feel very comfortable with my decision due to their perspectives of how the game of baseball should be played. I am very excited to be a part of a young team with incredible potential to have a lot of success."
Cornerstone University head baseball coach Dave Mitroff said, "We are excited to bring in Danny to join our program. He is a talented player with a lot of potential and room for growth. He also adds a level of toughness to our program and we believe that he will be a great fit for our university and baseball team."
