The Golden Eagles' men's golf team participated in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference championship today and after round one currently sit in sixth place. Cornerstone ended the day, after two rounds, with a team score of 621 putting them 53 over par. Davenport is the current leader after two rounds, shooting a team score of 581 placing them 13 over par for the day.
Leading the Way
After two rounds, Tyler Coyne leads all Cornerstone golfers shooting a total of 151 placing him tied for 11th place. The leader of the WHAC championship after day one is Benjamin Gawronski from Madonna who shot a 142 after two rounds.
Cornerstone's Zach Mick (T22) finished the day shooting 154, Bailey Mathieson (26th) finished with a total of 155, Anthony DeMarti (T34) scored a 161, Kevin Yee (40th) shot a 167 and Brad Clevenger (49th) ended the day with a final score of 178.
The final day of the WHAC men's golf championship will take place tomorrow at Stonewater Country Club and the winner of the tournament will receive a berth to the NAIA National Tournament.
