Heidi Warmelink gave up consecutive singles to start the game and ended but she worked her way out of the jam stranding runners on second and third to keep the Crusaders off the board. Jenna Weightman hit a bloop single to left field to advance Oberst to second. Ashley Niedermayer hit a line shot off the right field fence to score Oberst to make it 2-0. Cornerstone failed to advance the runners and finished the inning up 2-0. Warmelink took care of the rest from the circle allowing just two hits and no runs for the 3-0 shutout.
