Cornerstone University and head baseball coach Dave Mitroff are pleased to announce the signing of Michael Skerratt, a pitcher and first baseman from Gaylord High School in Gaylord, Mich. The 6'6" righty went 5-1 with two saves for his local legion team on the mound last summer.

When asked of his decision to choose Cornerstone, Michael said, "I chose Cornerstone to strengthen my relationship with Christ while playing on a team where we have the opportunity to win championships and to improve myself as a pitcher. I look forward to being a part of a Christ centered program while pursuing my passion for baseball."

Head baseball coach David Mitroff said, "We are excited about adding another pitcher to our young staff. Michael Skerratt has the chance to be a very good player for us as he develops over the next few years. We believe that he is a great fit for our university and baseball program."
