GAME FLOW

The Golden Eagles were dominant today against the Marygrove Mustangs. The Mustangs had a brief lead (4-2)at the beginning of the half. The teams went back and forth at the beginning of the game, having ties four times in the first 4:15 of the game. However, this would be the last time the Mustangs lead as Cornerstone took over the rest of the game. The Golden Eagles then outscored the Mustangs 32-14 for the rest of the half, including an 18-2 run to put them up 26-10 with 8:35 left on a shot by Robyn Veltkamp. The Golden Eagles went on another 14-10 run to finish the half and head into the locker room with a 40-22 lead. The second half was continued dominance for Cornerstone as they held Marygrove to just one point in the first 7:28 of the second half. In that time, the Golden Eagles went on a 22-0 run, while also getting their largest lead of 39 (62-23). Through the rest of the half, the Mustangs were never able to get the lead any closer than 31, which happened with 1:32 left in the game.
