The Gray Wolves opened the game with two consecutive baskets to take a 4-0 lead, which proved to be their largest lead of the game. The Golden Eagles got their first lead of the game on a Shane Moreland bucket with 16:37 remaining in the half. The Golden Eagles then went on a 7-0 run to take a 16-8 lead with 8:42 remaining. The Gray Wolves responded with a 13-5 run to tie the game at 21-21 with 18 seconds left in the half. Cornerstone's Ty Mason responded with a 3 pointer at the buzzer to take a 24-21 lead into the locker room. The second half lelonged to Cornerstone. Shane Moreland started the second half off with a three with 19:08 left which started a 16-5 run for the Golden Eagles, making the score 40-26 with 14:02 remaining. Wes Hudson was fouled on a basket and he made the foul shot as Cornerstone stretched their lead to 17 (51-34) with 8:32 to play. Lourdes cut the lead to 8 twice in the second half, the latter coming with 2:38 to play on a pair of free throws by Alex Davis. However, the Gray Wolves were forced to foul after that, and four free throws by Wes Hudson in the final 2:38 would seal the win for the Golden Eagles.
