The Golden Eagles shot 57.1% from the field in the first half which included (7-12) 58.1% from beyond the arc.
The Wolves took a 4-3 lead with 1:45 gone in the first half but their lead would be short lived as Jake Plite made a basket at 17:23 and then the Golden Eagles made a 12-3 run to go up 17-7 at 12:05. UM-Dearborn scored the next six points to cut the lead to 17-13 with 10:19 left in the half. Cornerstone outscored UM-Dearborn 23-17 over the remainder of the first half and went into the locker room with a 40-30 lead. The Wolves cut the lead to six points three different times early in the second half but Cornerstone responded each time to keep their cushion. UM-Dearborn kept the lead to single digits until the last five minutes of the game. Cornerstone outscored 17-6 to close out the game and ended with an 83-64 win. Cornerstone improved to 5-2 in the WHAC and 9-3 overall.
The Golden Eagles will return home on Thursday, 20th when they take on Huntington University at 7:00 p.m.
