(Grand Rapids, Mich.) The men's golf team soared to a third straight Jamboree wina team score of 299 at Highlands CC. The Golden Eagles finished two strokes ahead of WHAC leader Madonna. After four Jamboree's the Golden Eagles closed to only 4 strokes to Madonna for the race to a WHAC championship. Ben Vanbiesbrouck was two under par for the day to finish in first place (70). Josh Mick was 5th with a 74 (+2) and Ryan Zwier tied for 8th with a 77 (+5). Marcus Brussee and Chet Vandenberg tied for 13th (78) and Alex Lanning finished tied for 17th (79). After three straight days of competition the team will get some much needed rest as they prepare for the Concordia Jamboree at Pheasant Run GC on Sept. 28.
