Cornerstone had the same scenario going into the last game of the season as they did last year.  The Golden Eagles wrapped up the conference title and the #1 seed for the WHAC tournament prior to playing their last game of the regular season down at Indiana Tech.   Last year they decided to rest a lot of their starters and they came home with a 1-0 loss to the Warriors.  This season, they did not rest their starters and they ended with a 1-0 OT victory to finish the season with a 9-1 WHAC record.  The Golden Eagles outshot the Warriors 8-4 in the first half but Tech's GK made 4 saves and kept Cornerstone off the scoreboard.  The Golden Eagles dominated  play in the second half getting off 6 shots to the Warriors 1 shot but neither team could find the back of the net.  The game went to overtime and remained deadlocked through the first OT period.  Issac Grotenhuis broke the tie with just over four minutes remaining in the game by finishing off a Nate Weflen pass to give the Golden Eagles the golden goal victory.   Cornerstone earns the #1 seed in the WHAC tournament and will host the #8 seed Madonna University next Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
