Today, Cornerstone athletics continues its volleyball feature; "Spiking it with …" Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the season, fans will have an opportunity to get to know the Golden Eagles a bit better through a question-and-answer session.  Today, the series continues with freshman outside hitter, Chelsea Lake.

Lake, a redshirt freshman from Lake Odessa, has played in all 19 matches with 65 sets played in the 2012 season for head coach Ryan Campbell.  The Lake Odessa native tallied a season-high 14 kills against Aquinas on October 3 during the annual 80's night.

The best part about being on the Golden Eagle's Volleyball team?  Being around the girls on the team.

My earliest volleyball memory is … When I was in 5th grade and I was walking with my mom in the gym to pick my brother up from his practice and Kellie Rowland the volleyball coach was just screaming at the girls and I looked at my mom and told her I was never going to play volleyball for Kellie. She ended up being both my middle school coach and high school coach and I love her to death.

Other than volleyball, my favorite sport to play is … Dodge ball.

When I have an hour of free time, I like to … Well pre-college I liked to listen to music, read, or watch a movie/tv.  Now during college I like to nap.

If I won a million dollars, I would … Buy a new car for every person in my family, pay off my brother's student loans, and put the rest in savings.

If someone would look at the songs on my iPod, I would be embarrassed for them to see I have … Radio Disney songs.

It is not good for you, but I still eat … Taco Bell.

A place I would like to visit one day is … Australia

If you could eat dinner with three other people (living or dead) who would they be?  My grandpa Lake, my uncle Doug, and Emily Duits.  I would pick these three because they have all passed away and I miss them more and more every day.

Who is your favorite Bible character and why?  Noah because as a child I loved hearing that story and looking at all the pictures of the different animals.

When surfing the Internet, what website do you visit the most frequently?  I would say that it is a tie between Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook

What is something about you that other people don't know?  I have an extra bone in my feet so I don't wear ankle braces because they dig into my extra bone.

Who is your favorite Superhero and why?  Captain America because I love him in the Avenger movies.

What cartoon character are you most like?  I am like Tigger because I have lots of energy and enjoy having a good time.

After graduation, I would like to … Go to grad school and become a psychologist then get married and have children.
