The Cornerstone women's soccer team kicks off the WHAC slate this week, while also riding a six-game win streak. The 8-1 Golden Eagles hope to continue an unprecedented start in 2012, when they travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana, to face Indiana Tech on Wednesday. Cornerstone and Indiana Tech are in a 3-3-1 stalemate when facing each other the past four years. Game time in Fort Wayne is slated for 7 p.m.
On Saturday, Cornerstone returns to action against Concordia at 11:30 a.m. The Golden Eagles are unbeaten when matching up with the Cardinals, holding a 8-0 advantage in the past four years.

A look at Cornerstone
The Golden Eagles picked up two more wins, last week, defeating Rochester College (2-1) and Grace Bible College (4-0).
Offensively, the Golden Eagles have a number of key contributors. Freshman Kerri Hoffman leads the team in the point category with 12 points with four goals and four assists. The freshman has been a key distributor for the Golden Eagles in the opening nine games. The midfielder currently is tied for fourth in the conference in assists, this season. Junior Maile Carigon follows close behind Hoffman with a total of 11 points and team-high five goals this season.
Indiana Tech at a Glance
Indiana Tech (10-2) enters Wednesday's matchup looking to continue its dominant winning season. In 12 contests this season, the Warriors have outscored their opponents, 36-13. Recently, the team swept the WHAC player of the week awards with Tori Singstock and Jodan Roell being named offensive and defensive players of the week. The two helped the warriors start to a perfect 2-0 record in the conference.
Sneak Peek at Concordia
The Cardinals (3-5-1) look to bounce back after their stalemate against Marygrove College on Saturday. With the tie, Concordia begins conference play with a 0-0-1 record. Prior to Saturday's contest with Cornerstone, Concordia squares off with Aquinas College, Wednesday afternoon, at 4 p.m. in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
