The men's golf team took to Cherry Hill Golf Club on Monday as they took on the Cougar Invitational hosted by the University of Saint Francis. The invitational runs through Tuesday, with Tuesday's matches occurring at Autumn Ridge Golf Club. After day one, the men shot a team score of 305 placing them tied for second place overall. There are fourteen teams competing in the two-day event. With a total yardage of 6825 and a par score of 72, the Cherry Hill Golf Club made for difficult play on Monday. Chris Wisen led the way for the Golden Eagles, shooting a college career personal best, with a score of 75. Highlighting Wisen's score, he was able to birdie 3 of his last 4 holes on Monday. Following Wisen, Bailey Matheison shot a 76, Zach Mick and Drew DeMarti with a pair of 77's, and Casey VandenBerg notched a score of 84. Cornerstone looks to continue dominant play as they head into the second day of the Cougar Invitational, today.
