Today, Cornerstone athletics continues its volleyball feature; "Spiking it with " Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the season, fans will have an opportunity to get to know the Golden Eagles a bit better through a question-and-answer session. Today, the series continues with outside hitter Megan Newhouse.

Newhouse, a freshman from Grand Haven, has been in 4 matches with 11 sets played in the 2012 season for head coach Ryan Campbell. The Grand Haven native tallied a career-high 7 kills in the Cornerstone win against Trinity Christian on September 25 in the UM-Dearborn Tournament.

The best part about being on the Golden Eagle's Volleyball team? The team because I love the girls so much and they are all so unique and are amazing people. I have made so many awesome friends.

My earliest volleyball memory is Growing up in Grand Haven and watching people play in the sand on the beach and being in total awe.

Other than volleyball, my favorite sport to play is I love basketball.

When I have an hour of free time, I like to I love hanging out with friends and family or sleep but to be honest whatever I want to do never happens because I end up on Twitter.

If I won a million dollars, I would I would do the charitable thing and donate to a couple charities or organizations of my choice and then I would be selfish and go on a big shopping spree and I would buy a bunch of people goodies just because I can. Whatever is left I would save and use to pay off any debt.

If someone would look at the songs on my iPod, I would be embarrassed for them to see I have I would say High School Musical 1, 2, and 3 soundtracks and the Lizzie Mcguire Movie Soundtrack but I love all of those and I am not embarrassed.

It is not good for you, but I still eat Gluten

A place I would like to visit one day is I would love to visit Greece. I don't know why but it seems so romantic and beautiful and something of a fantasy.

If you could eat dinner with three other people (living or dead) who would they be? I would have dinner with my Grammy who passed away 7 years ago. I miss her a lot and I would have so much to tell her and I have so many things to ask her. I would also invite Jesus because he is awesome and who wouldn't want to eat with him? And lastly, I would choose Melissa McCarthy because she is hysterical and I would be crying laughing if she was there. We also have the same birthday.

Who is your favorite Bible character and why? Probably Peter because I love the story about him walking on water and how he demands Jesus to bring him onto the water. How he talks to Jesus is kind of funny to me as well; I love what the story teaches us.

When surfing the Internet, what website do you visit the most frequently? Twitter. I'm addicted.

What is something about you that other people don't know? I have hearing loss in one of my ears. I had surgery on it this summer so if you say something and I don't hear you I have a legitimate excuse.

Who is your favorite Superhero and why? Wonder Woman because she is female? I'm not really a super hero person.

What cartoon character are you most like? I am most like Deb from Napoleon Dynamite because: one, there is a Napoleon Dynamite cartoon, two we both love Napoleon and three, we both have brown hair.

After graduation, I would like to I would love to be teaching math or any subject in Costa Rica.
