The Cornerstone volleyball team travels to Madonna University on Wednesday for a top 25 showdown. Coming into the WHAC match, No. 23 Cornerstone looks to upset No. 18 Madonna on their home court. Both teams come into the match with an undefeated conference record of 3-0. The winner of this game will most likely take control of the first place spot in the WHAC and gain control of home court advantage for the WHAC tournament in November.
Under head coach Ryan Campbell, the Golden Eagles are 1-4 overall against Madonna University. The only win comes from last season when Cornerstone swept WHAC foe (25-23, 25-23, 25-22). The Golden Eagles look to continue their dominate play from last year into Wednesday's match.

The Golden Eagles come into Wednesday's match riding a two game WHAC win streak. The squad opened WHAC play with a victory, sweeping Aquinas College on the road. Cornerstone is currently ranked 13th in the nation for Assists per Game (12.580) and 14th nationally for Kills per Game (13.560). Kim Weaver leads the team with 452 assists while being 15th in the country for Assists per Game (10.510). Abby Miedema leads the team with 218 digs while being 27th in the country for Digs per Game (5.070). Becky Albrecht leads the team in kills by notching 119 kills this season.
Scouting the Crusaders
No. 18 Madonna currently holding a 16-4 overall and 3-0 conference record, will enter Wednesday's match riding a 10-game win streak with their last win occurring Friday against Aquinas. The Crusaders hosted the Saints on September 21, and came out with the impressive sweep (25-18, 25-12, 25-13). Madonna will look for help from their kill leader, Nastija Baranovska (174), dig leader, Stacey Catalano (211), and assist leader Evia Prieditis (731).
The Golden Eagles will look ahead to the Indiana Tech / Indiana Wesleyan Cross-Over Tournament, which is set for Friday and Saturday. The tournament will be a battle of nationally ranked teams with Grace (RV), Taylor (20), and Indiana Wesleyan (10). Game times are set for 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday while the games are set for noon and 2 p.m. on Saturday.
