The Cornerstone Golden Eagles women's soccer team (4-1-0) takes to the Cornerstone field for a match against Bethel College, Thursday evening. The nonconference match at Cornerstone is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
A Look at Cornerstone
The Golden Eagles will enter Thursday evening's contest looking to continue a two-game winning streak. The win streak comes from Tuesday's win against Davenport University and Huntington University on Sept. 8. The Golden Eagles last loss came to the hands of No. 8 Spring Arbor University on September 5. Forwards Maile Carigon and Amanda Van Laar and midfielders Morgan Vance and Kerri Hoffman have each scored two plus goals for the Golden Eagles this season and look to help contribute to their team on Thursday.
A Look at Bethel
After a 4-2 victory over Calumet College of St. Joseph this past Saturday, the Bethel Pilots, 3-2-0, will look to continue their win streak into Thursday's matchup. The Pilots have made it known that they are a scoring threat during there 2012 campaign. In five games, Bethel has hammered in 16 goals while rendering seven goals. Nicole Steller leads the way with eight goals and two assists.
Home Field Advantage Comes to End
The Golden Eagles will enjoy a week off before retuning back to action where they will face Goshen College on September 19. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m. Goshen will be the final home game of a 5 home game streak. The last away game that Cornerstone played was on September 1 against University of Saint Francis.
