Cornerstone University and head baseball coach David Mitroff are pleased to announce the signing of Brandon Willard, a left handed pitcher from Orchard Lake St. Mary's High School. Brandon went 7-3 with one save his senior year and had 85 strikeouts in 86 innings pitched. He also earned First Team All-Catholic League, First Team All-District, and St. Mary's MVP honors.

When asked about his decision to attend Cornerstone University, Brandon said, "I chose Cornerstone University not only to grow in my athletic ability as a pitcher but to become closer to God. While at Cornerstone I hope to contribute to the team in any way that is needed from me. If that is as a starter or a reliever, whatever my place is I'm excited to fill it and perform at my highest level and continue to improve."

Head baseball coach David Mitroff said, "Brandon is a solid lefty with the potential to have a big impact on our staff. He gets a lot of movement on his pitches due to his low arm slot and should be able to get a lot of ground balls. He had a fantastic senior season as the ace of his staff and we believe that he will build upon that experience while he is here at Cornerstone."
