Cornerstone University softball is excited to announce the signing of 2012 Centreville, Michigan grad, Harlie Sherman. Harlie comes to CU after a wonderful high school career as a 4 year varsity starter at shortstop for the Bulldogs. Her name appears consistently in the top two of almost every offensive category for her senior season. She has twice been named a first team all-conference player in the St. Joe Valley League, and was also named the league MVP as a junior. Harlie has also been named a Centreville Scholar-Athlete, and was honored as the school's outstanding senior athlete.

Her high school coach, and former Cornerstone University alumni, Jill Peterson, speaks highly of Harlie…" Harlie is the type of athlete, teammate, and person any team would be blessed to have. She works hard on the field and in the classroom, and encourages others to do the same. As a Cornerstone University alum, I'm excited to see her in a Golden Eagle uniform. I know God will use her to do great things in her future, and there's no better place than Cornerstone to grow as an athlete and a person of Christ"

Coach Farrell adds, "We are thrilled to have Harlie as part of our softball program. Harlie will bring ability and flexibility defensively along with her strong offensive game. She will also add tremendous speed to the lineup. Most importantly, she is a follower of Jesus, and I am very excited about what God is going to teach her, and how He will use her to impact others as a student-athlete here at CU."
