Cornerstone University and head baseball coach David Mitroff are pleased to announce the signing of Davis Martin, a corner infielder and pitcher from Olentangy Liberty High School in Lewis Center, Ohio. Davis hit .357 this year with 6 doubles, 16 runs, and 20 runs batted in. On the mound as a closer he had 4 saves.

When asked about his decision to attend Cornerstone, Davis Martin said, "I chose Cornerstone University because I visited the campus and instantly felt a community setting that I enjoyed. After about 30 minutes talking with the coaches, I knew that if I got an opportunity to play here, I wanted to take advantage of it! My hope for my experience at Cornerstone is to grow as a man. Along the way I want to play the game I love while growing as a player on the field, both mentally and physically."

Head baseball coach David Mitroff said, "Davis Martin will be a tremendous asset to our program at Cornerstone University. He was given the Patriot Award at his high school for demonstrated servant leadership. Davis can make an immediate impact with his glove and his bat and we are very excited to have him on board. He is on fire for the Lord and will be a great representative on campus of what our baseball program is about."
