Cornerstone University and head baseball coach David Mitroff are pleased to announce the signing of Nathan Kendrick, an outfielder from Gulf Coast High School in Naples, Florida. Nathan was a two-year captain for his high school team where he hit .350 and was named his team's best offensive player. Kendrick hits from the right side and is blessed with good speed and base running skills.
When asked about his decision to attend Cornerstone, Nathan Kendrick said, "It has always been my dream to play college baseball and that is a possibility at Cornerstone. I also wanted to attend a smaller Christian school that has my degree of Exercise Science. Cornerstone is giving me the chance to earn a degree and at the same time giving me a chance to play baseball at a high level for four more years. On the field I hope to become the best athlete and player I can be and to help Cornerstone succeed. Off the field I hope to grow as a person."
Head baseball coach David Mitroff said, "We are very excited to be getting a player like Nathan here at Cornerstone University. Nathan is a very athletic, versatile player who can hit and run the bases very well. He comes from a great family and looks to be a great fit here at Cornerstone. His demonstrated leadership ability and passion for the game of baseball will be a driving force in the new Cornerstone University baseball program."
