(Grand Rapids, Mich.) A cold drizzle greeted the runners and softened the otherwise fast course at the Calvin College Gainey Athletic Complex, the site for this year's Michigan Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships.
As she has all season, Andi Ripley paced the Golden Eagles with her 29th place finish in 19:02. Nicki Erler ran near her personal best, taking 50th in 19:32. Only ten seconds separated Janelle Lindman (20:08 / 75th and Melissa Sawicki (20:18 / 85th) followed byJaney Sluka with her 20:35 finish in 101st.
The freshman trio of Audry Yonge (20:42 / 108th), Julia Contreras (21:03 / 118th) and Sunny DeJong (22:56 / 163rd) completed the CU team effort.
Cornerstone's score of 286 placed eleventh in the 21 team field. Grand Valley State won the meet with sixteen points.
