Cornerstone University welcomes Teigan Mitcham to the
Women's Soccer and Women's Basketball programs.
Teigan Mitcham from Grand
Rapids, Mich. has signed a letter of intent to play soccer and basketball at
Cornerstone beginning in the fall of 2012.
Teigan attends Forest Hills Northern High School in Grand

junior year with an injury but still received the Team Leadership Award last

this season and has already been named Athlete of the Month by the Athletics
Booster Club at FHN. Teigan also played
varsity basketball for four years and served as a captain in her senior
year. She was led the team in scoring
and assist in both her junior and senior years.
Teigan has also done very well in the classroom. She has made the Academic Honor Roll each
semester in H.S. She was voted to the
All-Academic team in soccer and has been in the National Honors Society her
last two years. She has been actively
involved in student government all four years. Took part in Habitat for

Sibely Elementary. Teigan is also involved in The Bridge Street House of Prayer
Ministry and Resurrection Life Children.
"I knew that I wanted Teigan on my team fairly soon after I
started talking to her coaches about her. She has
a competitive spirit that will help her to become a very good player for us. More than that, I think that she
will be a person of impact within our team and at Cornerstone. I look forward to seeing how God will use her
and grow her over her four years at CU."
Why she chose Cornerstone
"The biggest reason I decided to come to Cornerstone is
because God was just really opening up the doors for me to come here and I
really felt led by God to take what he was giving me. I am also excited to grow and be challenged by
the Body of Christ here at CU. I love God's Spirit here and I know He is
working. I am very excited to have the opportunity to play both basketball and
soccer at CU!."
