Cornerstone University and head baseball coach David Mitroff are pleased to announce the signing of Chris King, a right-handed pitcher from Grand Ledge High School in Grand Ledge, Michigan. Chris has most recently attended Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he played club baseball. Chris was an elite pitcher while in high school where he went 15-0 in his three years on the varsity level. He was named all-conference, all-district, and all-region. Grand Ledge won a conference championship each year that Chris pitched for the varsity.
When asked about his decision to attend Cornerstone, Chris said, "I chose Cornerstone University for the opportunity to grow athletically, academically, and spiritually. My relationship with the Lord is something that means everything to me and I look forward to being at Cornerstone and representing him in everything that I do. I feel so blessed for this chance and I just want to do what I can to contribute to building a championship team. "
Head baseball coach David Mitroff said, "Chris King is a very talented pitcher who has overcome a great deal of adversity at this young stage of his life. We believe that Chris has what it takes to make an immediate impact on our pitching staff and that he will be a leader both on and off the field. He has a great drive to be successful and to honor the Lord with everything he does."
