Cornerstone University and head baseball coach David Mitroff are pleased to announce the signing of Zack Meyer, a third baseman from Egg Harbor Township High School in New Jersey. Last spring Zack hit .417 with seven home runs while driving in 28 runs and during the fall, he hit .485 with five home runs and 25 RBIs. He has a steady glove at third base and is a legitimate power threat.

When asked about his decision to attend Cornerstone, Zack Meyer said "After visiting the school I felt very comfortable with the campus, the baseball program, and the environment. I hope to develop in a new program and continue to strengthen my relationship with the Lord. Also, I chose Cornerstone University because of the coaching staff and the offering of the various programs I am interested in."

Head baseball coach David Mitroff said, "Zack Meyer is a fantastic young man and baseball player. He is our first ‘East Coaster' as he hails from New Jersey. We are pleased to continue to recruit players from different parts of the country. Zack's talent is unquestioned and we hope that he will work to anchor the corner of our infield for the next four years. Zack made a huge impression on us during his visit with his quiet leadership and we believe he will impact Cornerstone's campus immediately."
