Game 1
Bethel broke a 0-0 tie in the second inning scoring 4 runs.The Pilots threatened to increase the lead in the 4th but left 3 on base.The Golden Eagles got on the board at the bottom of the 4th which started with a single by Heidi Warmelink.Madison Bucilla singled to center field advancing the runner and Kathy DeYoung continued the momentum doubling to left field knocking in two.After 4 innings the Golden Eagles cut the Pilot lead to 4-2.Bethel answered in the top of the 5th scoring off a run off a CU throwing error to 3rdCornerstone stranded 1 runner in the 5th and 3 in the 6th and could not close the gap.Bethel added one more security run in the 7th on a Hendrick homer to win the first game of a double header 6-2.Cornerstone finished the game with 7 errors compared to 1 for the Pilots.Warmelink had 4 strike-outs and Bethel's pitcher Natalie Newell finished with 14 strikeouts for the win.

Game 2
The Golden Eagles started the second game with a bang with Jenna Weightman and Lauren Pasciak scoring unearned runs to take a 2-0 lead in the 1st.  The pitching and defense of the Golden Eagles were strong in the 2nd and 3rd innings but the Pilots were able to tie it at 2-2 in the top of the 4th with both runs unearned. CU left 2 on base in the 5th but held the Pilots scoreless in the 6th. Two Pilot errors resulted in one CU unearned run by Kathy DeYoung to give CU a slim 3-2 lead heading into the 7th. The Pilots were able to knot the score at 3-3. Jenna Weightman singled up the middle to start the inning, and Lauren Pasciak moved the runner to 2nd on a single to third. Heidi Warmelink then singled to center field advancing Pasciak but Weightman was out at 3rdMadison Bucilla reached 1st on a throwing error and Pasciak scored from 2nd when the short stop threw it away, helping the Golden Eagles win 4-3. 
Cornerstone is 3-13 on the season while the Pilots are 6-10 overall.

The Golden Eagles will travel to Indiana Wesleyan to play in a 2 day tournament in Marion, Ind. on March 30-31.
