Cornerstone University and head baseball coach David Mitroff are pleased to announce the signing of Travis Gordon, a pitcher and outfielder from Lowell Senior High school in Lowell, Michigan. Travis throws right-handed and bats left-handed and hopes to make a great impact on the new baseball program at Cornerstone University. Travis hit .341 last year with 17 runs scored and 12 runs batted in to go along with 5 stolen bases.

When asked about his decision to attend Cornerstone, Travis Gordon said, "It is a great fit for me with their youth ministry and psychology programs. I love the atmosphere with the students and staff and I can't wait to be a part of the baseball program. I believe Cornerstone University is the place to best prepare me for my career and my future."

Head baseball coach David Mitroff said, "We are blessed to have a player like Travis Gordon choose to be a part of our university and our baseball program. Travis has a sweet left-handed swing and we think he can do some damage with his bat at the college level. We will continue in his pitching development and hope that he will contribute on the mound as well. Travis is an outstanding man of God and we can't wait to get him here in the fall."
