The awards continue to come in for senior captain Melissa Veltkamp. Veltkamp became the fourth player in Cornerstone women's basketball history to be named an NAIA First Team All American. Veltkamp was named first team all WHAC after leading the Golden Eagles to a 3rd place finish and was the WHAC leading scorer at 19.39 ppg. She was in the top 5 in 11 statistical categories in the WHAC.

"What a great and deserving award for Mel," said head coach Carla Fles. "I felt she had an All-American type of season and when I think of the many talented players I have had the opportunity to coach she ranks among one of the best."
Other Cornerstone First Team All-Americans were Julie Vogelzang (2001-02), Cathi Velzen (2003-04) and Jenna Plewes (2008-09).
