Cornerstone University welcomes Kerri Hoffman to the Women's Soccer Program. Kerri Hoffman from Hamilton, Mich. has signed a letter of intent to play soccer at Cornerstone beginning in the fall of 2012.
Kerri attends Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Mich. Kerri is a two sport (basketball and soccer) athlete for Hamilton. She did play volleyball as well her freshman year. She was named All-Conference, All-Area, and All-District in both her freshman and sophomore years in soccer. She was voted 3rd Team All-State as a freshman and 2nd Team All-State as a sophomore. She tore her ACL playing basketball her sophomore year and missed her junior year of high school soccer. She returned to club soccer (Grand Rapids Crew Juniors) this past fall and is currently playing basketball for Hamilton and will play her senior season in soccer coming up in March.
Kerri teaches Sunday School at her church and has served as a counselor at Camp Sunshire in the past summers
""I think Kerri is a great addition to our team. I know that she is still not completely back from her injury just over a year ago but she is gradually working herself back to where she was before the injury. I really believe that she will be able to come in and compete well as a freshman. Kerri is a pretty solid player on the ball and can play both in the midfield and up front."
Why she chose Cornerstone
"I choose to come to Cornerstone because I love the environment here. I like how open and accepting everyone on the team was. I love sports and Cornerstone provides an ideal environment for me to not only participate in soccer here but grow in faith as well."
Kerri is the daughter of Mark and Sandy Hoffman of Hamilton, Mich.
