On this sweltering Saturday, the University of Saint Francis capitalized and took home the win vs. the unrelenting Golden Eagles.  Cornerstone outshot the Cougars 12 to 8 on the day, but couldn't find the back of the net against goalkeer Rachel Kostaneski.  St. Francis made the most of their shots and placed them out of the reach of CU goalkeeper Kathy Butt.  Both teams played extremely hard in the heat, with St. Francis recording nine fouls to Cornerstone's two.

Jordan Kyle and Kelcie Lehman got the Cougars on the scoreboard in the first half, despite the higher volume of shots by the Golden Eagles.  CU came out strong after the half, but St. Francis' Katelyn Strout was the one to add the final tally.  St. Francis improves to 2-1 on the season, and Cornerstone moves to 1-2.  Cornerstone will have to bounce back from injuries and fatigue, but they look forward to taking the field again on Tuesday night at 7:00pm at Bethel College.
