KEY TEAM STATS
The Golden Eagles shot 56% (14-25) from the floor in the second half of play which included 3 of 4 from long distance. The Warriors shot identical 4-13 from the field in both halves of play.
The Golden Eagles hit the road again to play Rocherster College tonight and they came away with a 70-55 victory over the Warriors. The two teams went back and forth through the first 18 points in the game. Cornerstone had the advantage early on but quickly surrendered the lead with 9:08 in the first half of play. Cornerstone made a 12-0 run and increased their lead to 30-20 with about 5:00 minutes to play. Cornerstone finished the half with a 35-29 lead at the half. The Golden Eagles extended that lead throughout the second half of play. They would increase the lead to 17 (62-45) with just under 10:00 to go. Cornerstone would continue to extend the lead and would maintain that double digit lead. Cornerstone would finish with a 70-55 lead.
The Golden Eagles will have the weekend off and will return to action next Tuesday when they host University of St. Francis, Ind. at 7:00 p.m.
