Cornerstone made the trip over to Davenport to take on the undefeated Panthers in a big WHAC match tonight and the game lived up to it's billing. Davenport dominated the first half of play outshooting the Golden Eagles 14-0. The Panthers got on the scoreboard in the 30th minute of play on a nice combination between Dino Duratovic and TJ Ifaturoti. Miguel Cervantes made six saves to keep the Golden Eagles in the game in the first half. The Panthers made it 2-0 just :40 seconds into the second half and then the Golden Eagles picked up their game. Cornerstone started getting some shots and ended up forcing a corner kick in the 73rd minute that resulted in a goal by freshman Eric Hamilton. The Golden Eagles couldn't find the equalizer and they ended up on the wrong side a of 2-1 loss. Cornerstone drops to 7-6-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the WHAC. Cornerstone will have a bye on Wednesday and will return to action on Saturday when they will host Indiana Tech at 7:00 p.m.
