The Golden Eagles made their way down to Ft. Wayne to take on Indiana Tech in a crucial WHAC contest tonight.  Cornerstone entered the game one game up on the Warriors with a 13-5 conference record.  The Warriors made the first basket of the night and Cornerstone responded to tie it at 2-2 but the Golden Eagles would chase for the remainder of the half.  Cornerstone kept the lead to within single digits until the 7:55 mark in the first half.  Tech hit a 3-pointer to push the lead to 25-15 and would get it to as high as 11 (28-17) before Cornerstone would mount a comeback.  The Golden Eagles made a 10-2 run over the next four minutes to pull to within 3 (28-25) with 3:06 remaining.  Cornerstone would get the lead down to 2 (32-30) but Indiana Tech made a shot with: 06 left to go into the locker-room with a 34-30 advantage.  Cornerstone would keep the Warriors close through the first 10 minutes of the second half.  Jill Steenwyk drained a 3-pointer with 9:37 left in the game to pull back to 2 points (51-4Cornerstone would keep the Warriors close through the first 10 minutes of the second half.  Jill Steenwyk drained a 3-pointer with 9:37 left in the game to pull back to 2 points (51-49) but the Warriors then made a 13-3 run to go up 64-52 with 5:15 left in the game.  The Golden Eagles would only get to within 8 points (69-61) through the remainder of the game and would end with a 79-68 loss to the Warriors.  The two teams move into a tie for 3rd place behind Davenport and Siena Heights with a WHAC record of 13-6.

KEY TEAM STATS

The Golden Eagles shot just 39.1% from the field including 5-17 from long range while Indiana Tech shot 50% from the field and were 8 of 16 from beyond the arc.    The Warriors out rebounded the Golden Eagles 40-35 on the night.
