As the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference regular-season came to a close last weekend and as the conference tournament begins today, Cornerstone, team and individuals, have been recognized in the conference and at the national stage. 

Cornerstone WHAC Team Rankings

  • 1st in Total Steals (324)
  • 2nd in Turnover Margin (4.567)

Cornerstone NAIA Division II Team Rankings

  • 2nd in Free Throw Pct (0.741)
  • 2nd in Total Steals (324)
  • 6th in Steals per Game (10.800)
  • 8th in Turnover Margin (4.567)

Individual Honors

The announcement was made today for the 2012-13 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Awards.  The Cornerstone men's basketball team placed two players to WHAC Awards.  Senior Derek Kingshott represents the Golden Eagles on the WHAC All-Conference Honorable Mention, All-Academic, and Champions of Character Teams while junior Wes Hudson was named to the WHAC All-Conference Team.

NAIA Division II Individual Rankings

  • Conor Hogan 1st in Asst/Turnover Ratio (3.667)
  • West Hudson 1st in Free Throw Pct (.899)
  • Anthony Allen 19th in Asst/Turnover Ratio (2.333)

The Golden Eagles finished 20-10 and fourth in the WHAC regular-season, after going 14-8 in conference play, will enter the tournament today as the No. 4 seed to host Indiana Tech at Mol Arena.  Tip off set for 7 p.m.
