Newest Golden Eagle Randy LePlatt signing his letter of intent.

Cornerstone University and head baseball coach David Mitroff would like to announce the signing of Randy LePlatt, a middle infielder from Aztec, New Mexico. As a junior at Aztec High School, Randy hit .341, had a slugging percentage of .487, and an on-base percentage of .563. He posted similar numbers over the course of the last two summers while playing with the Four Corners Stix and Enfuego.

When Randy LePlatt was asked about his decision to attend Cornerstone University, he said, "The main reason I chose Cornerstone is to strengthen and further my relationship with Christ. When I visited the campus the coaches, teachers, administrators, and students were all about Christ; that genuineness is extremely attractive and exactly what I was looking for in a college. The icing on the cake for me was has the promising baseball team that cornerstone has. I was impressed that their central focus is on God and their goal is to advance each player in their walk with Christ."

According to head baseball coach David Mitroff, "Randy will be a great fit for our university and baseball program. He brings immediate depth to the middle infield and we expect him to compete for playing time from day one. He is a young man of great character and deep faith and we are pleased that he has chosen Cornerstone University."
