The No. 22 Cornerstone volleyball team continues its WHAC play at home on Saturday when they host Marygrove and Concordia at Mol Arena.  The Golden Eagles are 13-4 overall while holding a 3-1 conference record.  The volleyball squad will face the WHAC opponents at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., respectively. 

This past week, Cornerstone hosted Aquinas College for their annual Night of Nets campaign and 80's night.  In the match the Golden Eagles swept the visiting team 3-0 while impressing a crowd of roughly 875 screaming fans dressed up for 80's night. 

Scouting the Competitors

Marygrove currently holding a 7-10 overall and 0-3 conference record will enter Saturday's match after a dominate performance over Great Lakes Christian.  The Mustangs hosted Great Lakes on Wednesday coming out with an impressive sweep (25-11, 25-3, 25-10). Marygrove was led by Kiara Cobbs with 12 kills and adding the Mustangs lone block of the match.

Concordia comes into Saturday holding a 13-15 overall record.  The Cardinals have yet to notch a win in WHAC play and currently carry a 0-5 record.  Concordia is coming off a recent loss to No. 17 Madonna University, 0-3.  The Cardinals are led by Layne Molosky who has record 194 kills this season while Shannon Pietruszk has helped on the defensive side with 437 digs. 

Looking Ahead

The Golden Eagles will then travel to Dearborn to face another WHAC opponent, UM-Dearborn, on Wednesday.  Game time is set for 7 p.m.
