Today, CU athletics continues its women's soccer feature; "Free Kicks with …" Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the season, fans will have an opportunity to get to know the Golden Eagles a bit better through a question-and-answer session.  Today, the series continues with junior Melissa McIntire.

McIntire, a junior from Papau New Guinea has played in nine games during the 2012 campaign for head coach Randy Strawser.  McIntire brings energy, speed, and depth to the midfield position for the Golden Eagles.

The best part about being on the Golden Eagle's Soccer team?  I tell everyone I play for the fame but I really love the close knit friendship that are built on the team.

My earliest soccer memory is … My dad was helping with a boys camp, but they let me play with them because there was no girl camps.

Other than soccer, my favorite sport to play is … Volleyball and basketball.

When I have an hour of free time, I like to … Hangout in coffee shops.

If I won a million dollars, I would … I already promised I would donate it.  However, if it happened twice, I would travel and bring all my friends.

If someone would look at the songs on my iPod, I would be embarrassed for them to see I have … The best of Lebe and Mick Mac.

It is not good for you, but I still eat … Chocolate and Ice Cream together.

A place I would like to visit one day is … Rio, specifically in 2016.

If you could eat dinner with three other people (living or dead), who would they be and why? Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Chevy Chase so I can give them some comedic advice.   

Who is your favorite Bible character and why? Peter because he asked lots of questions and wasn't afraid to say what was on his mind. 

When surfing the Internet, what website do you visit the most frequently? Facebook, Google maps, and Travelocity. 

What is something about you that other people don't know?  I like digging holes. 

Who is your favorite Superhero?  Superman.

What cartoon character are you most like and why?  Hammy from "Over the Hedge" because I talk fast and I can fit a lot of food in my mouth.

After graduation, I would like to … Become a teacher.
